
Good public policy is vital to improving outcomes for children and institutionalizing long-term change. Recognizing that all three levels of government children, the Larry King Center focuses on public policy at the local and state level.
Our policy work occurs through a variety of means:
Policy Agenda
Develop a strategic policy agenda and identify strategies to achieve key priorities. Download our 2012 Policy Agenda
Coalition-Building
Convene stakeholders to speak as one voice to policy makers
Direct Advocacy
Work directly with policy makers to shift legislation and other policies to support advocacy priorities
Budget-Tracking
Track the budget process for state and local government and analyze the impact of proposed budgets on children and key priorities.
