CFCR hosts Out-of-School Time forum Nov. 22, 2013

Council for Children’s Rights will host “Expand Learning: Building a Framework for Out-of-School Time” from 9 till 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Beatties Ford branch of Charlotte Mecklenburg Library (2412 Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte). A continential breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m.

Out-of-school time is a unique space for learning and development – distinct from home and school – where children can engage in enriching experiences that broaden their horizons and build critical skills that support healthy development and lifelong success.

The remainder of the agenda includes both an overview of relevant research and an outline of the Out-of-School Time Framework with a focus on program quality standards.
